According to the Department of Academic Affairs and Engineering of East China University of Science and Technology, the overall employment of graduates from the school this year shows several characteristics.

First, the proportion of undergraduates pursuing further studies continues to increase. Among the 2015 undergraduates, 1,592 went to universities and research institutes at home and abroad to continue their studies, accounting for 41.72% of the total number of undergraduate graduates, an increase of 4.48 from 2014. percentage points, among which 1,036 people went to higher education domestically (701 from our school), accounting for 27.15% of the number of undergraduate graduates, and 556 people studied abroad, accounting for 14.57% of the number of undergraduate graduates.

Second, the industry flow is relatively consistent with the school’s major settings and subject characteristics. For example, the highest proportion of graduates in 2015 went to manufacturing, at 25.47%, followed by scientific research and technical services (17.42%), information, computer, software industry (12.67%), financial industry (8.33%), Energy and mining industry (4.22%).

Third, job satisfaction and professional relevance continue to rise. 98.30% of graduates are satisfied with their current contracted jobs, and the overall satisfaction rate increased by 0.35 percentage points compared with 2014. A total of 77.57% of graduates’ employment positions are relatively consistent with their majors, an increase of 4.55 percentage points from 2014.

Fourth, grassroots employment and the number of employed people in the central and western regions have increased steadily. The number of graduates in 2015 seeking grassroots employment was 1,447, accounting for 24.06% of the total number of graduates, an increase of 1.83 percentage points compared with 2014. 9.44% of undergraduate students and 4.55% of graduate students are looking for employment in the central and western regions, with the proportions increasing by 0.74 percentage points and 0.06 percentage points respectively from last year.

Fifth, the contract salary level of graduates has increased. According to survey statistics, the average contracted monthly salary of doctoral students in 2015 was 9,271.62 yuan, the same as 9,358.57 yuan in 2014, while the average contracted monthly salary of master's students (excluding MBA) was 6,137.79 yuan, and the average contracted monthly salary of undergraduate graduates was 4,683.21 yuan, an increase of 5.49% over last year. and 5.81%.
