In 2008, Huli District invested 670 million yuan in the construction and expansion of 21 schools. Strengthening the construction of the teaching staff, recruiting 189 new teachers, implementing the method of pairing assistance between public and private schools, the quality of education and teaching has been continuously improved, and the results of the middle school and college entrance examinations have achieved great results again. The district teacher training school was rated as a national model county-level teacher training institution. Complete the task of creating a national public cultural demonstration zone and basically build a grassroots cultural service network covering the entire district with complete functions. Medical service centers and public health service centers are set up in each street. 4 community public health service centers and health supervision dispatch points were opened in 4 subdistricts. Support Zhongshan Hospital and the Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to open five community medical service centers in Huli District. Huli Hospital will be restructured into the Huli Branch of Zhongshan Hospital, effectively connecting with municipal-level high-quality medical resources. Complete the renovation of Huli Hospital, promote the preliminary work of the district health complex building, and continuously improve the community health service network. The improvement of the inner bay and the construction of supporting public buildings such as the Bay Road and cross-sea bridges have been basically completed. The total area of ??completed commercial housing in the region is 2.864 million square meters, and the built-up area has increased to 43.7 square kilometers. The annual infrastructure investment was 5.58 billion yuan, accounting for 37.2% of the total fixed asset investment in the whole society. In 2008, Huli District strictly followed the municipal and district land acquisition and demolition policies, adjusted and improved the land acquisition and demolition working mechanism, and accelerated the land acquisition and demolition work in the Hubian Reservoir Area, Wuyuan Bay Area and key municipal roads. Accelerate the construction of resettlement housing, with 30 resettlement housing projects planned, with a total construction area of ??3.02 million square meters, 3 projects including Wutong resettlement community have been completed, and 7 projects including Mashan and Shanghu resettlement communities are under construction.
