What does the May 4th Regiment mean? What does it take to be a league member?

The May 4th Youth League refers to the members:

choice criterion

(1) Support the leadership of the Party, love the motherland, love the people and love socialism.

(2) Abide by the law and have high moral character.

(3) Make outstanding achievements in their posts, which can play an exemplary role.

(4) consciously abide by the articles of association of the League, perform the obligations of the League members in an exemplary manner, and actively participate in the activities of the League.

(5) Reaching the "Four Leads" standard of striving for Excellence among league members, with outstanding performance in the activities of striving for Excellence.

3 selection conditions

(1) Adhere to a firm and correct political direction, hold high the great banner of Socialism with Chinese characteristics, thoroughly implement Scientific Outlook on Development under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory and Theory of Three Represents, and resolutely implement the Party's basic line, principles and policies;

(two) actively participate in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, high moral character, good social morality, professional ethics and family virtues;

(3) Diligent in learning, good at creation, willing to contribute, and play an exemplary role in their posts and social life;

(four) consciously abide by the articles of association of the League, perform the obligations of the League members, and actively participate in the activities of the League;

(five) to maintain the advanced nature of the League members, to go deep into the youth masses, to help the youth progress enthusiastically, and to reflect the opinions and demands of the youth in a timely manner.
