Where is the source of Yitong River?

Yitong River originates from the northern foot of Ding Qing in Hadaling Mountain, Yitong County, Jilin Province, and flows through Yitong County, Changchun City, dehui city and Nong 'an County. Its main tributaries (from south to north) are Xiaoyitong River, Gangouzi River, Shuangmiaozi River, Yidan River, Suancao River, Xiaohe Yanzi River and Xihegou (Rong Fan Road-Nanhu-Zoological Botanical Garden-Jishun Minggou).

Yitong River joins Yinma River 5 kilometers below Kaoshan Bridge in Kaoshan Town, Nong 'an County, and the flow from the source to the confluence is 343.5 kilometers. Because the flow of Yinma River above the confluence is 368 kilometers, which is more than 20 kilometers longer than Yitong River, according to the principle of "the source is only long", Yinma River is the main stream, and this basin is collectively called Yinma River Basin.

After the two rivers meet, they continue to flow northward for 20 kilometers and join the Songhua River.

Since the end of 1970s, river sand has been dug away, and domestic production wastewater has been directly discharged into the river, making Yitong River dirty and smelly. Over the years, the management of Yitong River in Changchun has never stopped, but due to various factors, many problems such as water pollution have not been cured. Since 20 16, the Yitong River in Changchun has been comprehensively treated in a basin-wide, all-round and regional way. The large and small tributaries of the main river channel are treated together with the open ditches and culverts flowing into the tributaries.

Fix the water at the source first. Xinlicheng Reservoir, 30 kilometers south of Changchun, is the main water supply area of Yitong River. In recent years, Xinlicheng Reservoir has been completely closed, and 560 hectares of aquatic plants and shrubs 190 hectares have been planted successively, which effectively absorbed nitrogen, phosphorus and other substances in the water body, and the original wasteland and floodplain in the reservoir area have become wetlands, and the ecological environment has been obviously improved.

Nanxi Wetland is located in the upper reaches of Yitong River and connected with Yitong River. It used to be a "rotten swamp" and a "black swamp", but now it has become a paradise for all kinds of waiting birds. Changchun practiced the concept of "ecological water control" and comprehensively applied the means of "aquatic plant planting", "aquatic animal stocking" and "aeration", which greatly improved the water quality of Nanxi wetland, played the role of "filter net" and became a veritable "kidney of Changchun".

In addition to the upstream water supply, Changchun has also adopted the measure of "reclaimed water reuse", and plans to build 29 storage tanks in the whole basin. The water storage tank has the functions of filtration, pollution reduction, peak adjustment at wrong time and self-purification, making Yitong River truly "living water".
