Dalian COFCO Malt Co., Ltd. is a foreign-invested enterprise wholly owned by China Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd., which has been among the world's top 500 companies for nine consecutive years. The first phase of the project was completed and put into operation in July 1998. The entire project was completed and put into operation in June 1999, with a total investment of US$83.8 million and an annual output of 300,000 tons of malt. It is currently the world's most technologically advanced single factory and the largest professional malt processing enterprise in Asia. Since the company was put into production in June 1999, its production and sales have increased significantly year by year.
