Daixi Town belongs to Wuxing District, Huzhou City. Founded in Song Taiping in the eighth year of Xingguo (AD 983). It is an ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River with a history of thousands of years, which was called Shangqiang in ancient times.

Located in the south of Wuxing District, it is adjacent to Lindong Town in the east, Wu Kang Town and Moganshan Town in Deqing County in the southwest, Meixi Town in Anji County and heping town in Changxing County in the northwest, Miaoxi Town in the north and Lindong Town in the northeast.
