Changshu Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as "Changshu Institute of Technology") is a full-time undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province, located in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province. It is a pilot project of "national education system reform", a national "Thirteenth Five-Year" application-oriented undergraduate integration development project to build colleges and universities, a national "Fourteenth Five-Year" education power promotion project reserve college, and a pilot university of "excellent engineer education and training plan" of the Ministry of Education.

By the end of 20 13, the library of Changshu Institute of Technology had collected more than 0.4 million volumes of paper documents, 2.85 million kinds of electronic books, nearly 0.900 kinds of paper periodicals, 30 databases and 30TB of digital information resources.

The school has two academic journals, Soochow Academic and Journal of Changshu Institute of Technology. The predecessor of Journal of Changshu Institute of Technology is Journal of Suzhou Normal University founded in 1988 (renamed Wuzhong Journal in 1990) and Journal of Changshu College founded in 1992 (natural science edition).

The school actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation. In recent years, experts and scholars have been sent to the United States, Britain, Germany and other countries for exchange or further study, and hundreds of foreign teachers have been hired to cooperate with more than 50 universities in Britain, the United States, Germany, France, New Zealand, Canada, India, Italy, South Korea and Japan to cultivate talents. The school has a Hanban Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) test center for foreigners.
