There are two main types of lead-zinc ore: primary ore and oxide ore.

The surface of primary ore is mainly gray, lead gray and dark green gray, which can be rubbed with fingers to get dirty hands. Lead and zinc mainly exist in the form of sulfide (PbS and ZnS). The lead content in primary lead-zinc ore PbS is 86.6%. The zinc content of zinc sulfide is 67.65438 0%. To know the grade of this kind of ore, we must first send the ore to a qualified analysis and testing unit, detect the percentage content of PbS and ZnS by chemical means, and then multiply it by the mass percentage content of each element to get the grade of each element. The percentage content of ZnS is 30%, so the lead-zinc ore grade is: Pb grade is 20% × 86.6% =17.32; The grade of zinc is 30%×67. 1%=20. 13%.

Similarly, the surface of oxide ore is reddish brown, yellowish brown and orange yellow, and lead and zinc mainly exist in the form of oxides (PbO and ZnO). The lead content of PbO is 92.8%; The zinc content of zinc oxide is 80.34%. The percentage of PbO and ZnO is measured and multiplied by the mass percentage of lead and zinc to obtain the grade of oxidized ore.

In addition, the lowest industrial grade of primary lead-zinc ore is Pb 0.7% ~1%; Zinc 1%~2%. The lowest industrial grade of lead-zinc oxide ore is Pb1.5% ~ 2%; Zinc 3%~6%.
