Allusions to Jiajing Building in Yibin

The allusion of Yibin Mirror Building comes from a sentence in Li Bai's poem "Autumn Hill, Xuancheng Qi Xie North Building", which is named after the artistic conception of its two water mirrors.

Jiajing Building in Yibin, formerly known as Hejiang Building, was built in the early Qing Dynasty. About ten years after Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, when the Chu merchants built the guild hall outside the East Gate, they completely renovated the building. That was inscribed by Jiajing Building. In 1960s and 1970s, Jiajing Building was demolished due to the reconstruction of the shipping building. In 20021year, it was rebuilt in Hejiang gate and transformed into a new landmark in Yibin.

Jinglou is located next to Wangye Temple at the intersection of Jinsha River and Minjiang River in Yibin City. When it was completed, there is no historical record to test. It's abandoned now. The mirror building was originally a two-story wooden square pavilion. Unique shape, simple and elegant, painted with carved beams and flying eaves. When you climb the building, you can watch the scenery of "Double Rivers Reflecting the Moon" by the railing. The Jinsha River, covered with gold placer, runs down from the upper reaches of Yunnan, and the Minjiang River, like a mirror, slowly comes from Leshan, forming the Sanjiangkou.

Beautiful scenery/landscape

The bright moon is in the sky, and it is reflected in the cracks at the intersection of Jinsha River and Minjiang River, which is like a mirror. At this time, the Yellow Sea is blue. The "distinct" double river reflecting the moon landscape is magnificent. The ancients called the moon a mirror, so the building was called the mirror building. "Double Rivers Reflecting the Moon" is one of the eight scenic spots in Yibin. Yibin Municipal People's Government decided to restore the mirror image building, adding luster to this famous historical and cultural city.

According to the Jiaqing edition of Yibin County Records, the Mirror Building was built in the early Qing Dynasty, in the land of "outside Hejiang Gate, right of Jade Palace, where the two rivers meet". In the tenth year of Jiaqing, Chu merchants completely restored this building and inscribed it "Mirror Building". The "clip" of "clip mirror" means that this building stands between the intersection of two rivers; The "mirror" is the bright moon in the sky. When you climb the stairs and look at the railing, the moonlight is reflected on the water of Jinsha River and Minjiang River, forming the artistic conception of double or triple shadow.

The appearance of the reconstructed mirror building presents a high-rise building in the Qing Dynasty, and decorative textures such as couplets and mountain flowers are added. A plaque of the mirror building engraved with Huang Tingjian's calligraphy font shows the literary spirit and heroism stirring in Yibin's bones.
