What is geological drilling for?

I study mineral geology, but I know that drilling is essential for geological exploration, mine exploration, engineering exploration, hydrological exploration and environmental exploration. No matter how advanced other technologies are, drilling will always be the ultimate exploration means, and there is no need to worry about unemployment when drilling. Moreover, drilling technology can only be innovated in practice. Now the drilling technology has developed to a higher level, basically realizing semi-automation, and no longer relying on manpower as before.

Now there are individual drilling teams in many places, so they can't do work and make money!
