I work in a valve factory in Wenzhou. I have worked in this factory for several months without a day off. Does this comply with labor laws?

This unit’s practices have clearly violated the provisions of the Labor Law. Article 38 of the Labor Law stipulates: The employer shall ensure that workers have at least one day off per week.

Article 36 stipulates: The state implements a working hour system in which workers’ daily working hours shall not exceed eight hours and the average weekly working time shall not exceed forty-four hours. Article 41 Due to the needs of production and operation, the employer may extend working hours after consultation with the trade union and workers, generally not more than one hour per day; if working hours need to be extended due to special reasons, the working hours shall be extended under the conditions of protecting the health of workers. Extended working hours shall not exceed three hours per day, but shall not exceed thirty-six hours per month.
