Dig the tail of Longbai Mountain

Speaking of Jane, in ancient times, there was a primary school student who picked up an abnormal-shaped bug at the edge of a field on his way to school. After returning to the private school, he quietly put it in the drawer and brought a rice ball back from home every day to feed it.

Worms are taken care of and grow up with shame. The rice balls that children feed every day are not full enough, so they have to wait until the evening before going out to eat. Insects eat so much that people near private schools often steal small animals and crops without knowing what to do.

Several neighboring families discussed it together and decided to send a few night watchmans to observe it. Until midnight, several night watchmans found a cloud flying in the air, which slowly landed in the courtyard of the private school. They felt very strange, so they quietly followed it to the private school, opened the door and looked in, but found nothing.

The next morning, the teacher rummaged through the drawers one by one and found a strange insect with shiny scales in a student's drawer, which looked like a legendary dragon. The teacher was very surprised, afraid that it was sacred, and did not dare to infringe, so he asked the students about the origin of the strange insect and asked them to put it back in the ground immediately.

The students were forced by the teacher's life, so they had to go to the field with the bug in their arms, stroking the bug and reluctant to part. Suddenly, the student had the idea of meeting the bug in the future, so he took out a knife and cut off a small tail of the bug as a mark. As soon as I let go, the bug immediately rose into the air, suddenly became a dragon, nodded goodbye to the child, and turned and flew into the sky. In an instant, it turned upside down and the dragon was nowhere to be found.

Legend has it that dragons are in the sky. Because the dragon dug its tail and couldn't go to heaven, it had to hide in the deep mountain of osawa. Every time it travels, it is bound to be accompanied by storms, destroying houses, breaking trees and hurting passers-by Every April and May, whenever such weather occurs, people say that it is digging its tail to worship the mountain.

However, strong winds and heavy rains never hurt where Jane met. Legend has it that because there is an ancestral temple here, there is an ancestor named Qiu Jiang (surnamed Liang, born at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty), and he is the student who keeps digging tail dragons. Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, there is sometimes a thick layer of leaves in front of the ancestral temple, which looks like a prayer mat. Sometimes the big lanterns outside the door are hung on the trees in front of the courtyard. People say that the dragon digger has come to worship, in order to repay the kindness raised in those years.

Scholars contend for couplets.

Xingtan Village has had three surnames since ancient times: Huang, Su and Luo. Russell's surname is located in the east of the village. They usually work together. Huang is located at the end of the village and has little contact with the villagers. One day, scholars with three surnames gathered in a restaurant to have fun, and someone suggested writing poems to help them enjoy themselves. The Russell couple wanted to blame Huang for a long time, so they colluded with each other and made a top-level couplet, and asked Huang to make a bottom-level couplet. The first couplet of Luo Ershi wrote: "Howled the yellow dog unexpectedly." When Huang Xiucai heard it, he knew it was an accusation. After a moment of meditation, he was not to be outdone. He said slowly, "It was brave of Zhang Xianzhong to go down the mountain and hit Russell." Hearing this, Russell's two scholars were speechless. From then on, Su Luo and Su Luo never dared to bully Huang again.

Ma Ning's Immortal Footprints

In ancient Ma Ning, there was no distinction between East Ma Ning and West Manion. Ma Ning is known as the "land of geomantic omen", especially Ma Ning, which is a famous scenic spot. A local folk proverb describes it as "there is a golden bull with crescent moon and horse nose, golden carp beach on the left, Baihua Rock on the right, three villages, six cities and eighteen towns, and thirteen pits in nine wells", which shows that there were many places of interest at that time. According to local legend, there are ninety-nine hills in Mount Ma Ning, which were moved by a fairy from far away overnight. She has one foot on a mountain in Jun 'an and the other foot on Ma Ning Mountain. That night, I just moved down from a distant mountain and put it on the land in Ma Ning. I have moved 99 mountains. Just as he moved to the hundredth hill, the last hill, it was almost dawn, and he was exhausted and sleepy. Suddenly, a rooster gave a high cry, which startled the sleeping fairy. As soon as he released his hand, the mountain fell somewhere in Jun 'an, so there were only ninety-nine mountains in Ma Ning. Legend has it that every mountain can win a prize, so most of Ma Ning's money went to Jinshi. Now at the foot of the mountain in northern Ma Ning, there is a ditch on a rock, which is about 70 cm long and 30 cm wide and shaped like a footprint. Where the footprints are sunken, the water does not dry up all year round. Someone once scooped water, but it was quickly filled again. The local villagers call it "immortal footprints". It is said that this footprint is the place where the immortal stepped when he moved the mountain that night.

Dragon Mother Temple in Longtan and Water Town Festival

On the eighth day of May every year, the villagers in Longtan happily hold the Shuizhai Festival, rowing dragon boats, worshiping the dragon mother, beating gongs and drums, waving colorful flags, and people from far and near come to watch the excitement. Why does Longtan Village hold the Water Town Festival on this day? Originally located in the center of Longtan market, there is a famous Dragon Mother Temple, which has a history of several hundred years. This Dragon Mother Temple has a magical story. It is said that the Dragon Mother in the Dragon Mother Temple in Yuecheng, the upper reaches of the Xijiang River, stood by the river one day and watched the surging river flow eastward, feeling a little lonely and empty. I thought, why not take the Xijiang River and watch it downstream? Thought of here, a piece of wood floated, so the Dragon Mother Empress shrank, jumped off the wood, and followed the Xijiang River down Zhaoqing, through Shuiteng, into Sancao, through Liu Le and straight to Rongqi Waterway. Maybe the current is too fast, the scenery along the way is too fast, and my eyes are tired. After swimming across the Beishuiyongkou, the Dragon Mother Empress fell asleep leisurely. The wood she rode, along with the swift river, flowed into Longtan River. At that time, many fishermen settled in Longtan, and Chen Degong was one of them. He set up a bamboo frame beside the chung and set a fishing trap to catch fish. On this day, every time he tried to pick up fish, there were no fish and shrimp except wood. He repeatedly threw the wood in the fish into the heart, but the wood always flowed back into the fish. De Gong couldn't catch any fish and shrimp, so he couldn't help worrying. He casually said, "Wood, wood, if you have spirit, pick up the wood and put it by your side. Besides, the dragon mother who was sleeping on a log was thrown into her heart by the Duke of Germany several times in a row. She has woken up, opened the longan and found herself in a stream. Looking around, she saw the flat terrain, criss-crossing streams and mulberry trees growing in the fish pond. She couldn't help sighing: "Hey, this is really a good place for outstanding people. Do people know that I have believed in Yuecheng for many years and I am very lonely? I might as well enjoy the human incense here? " So he immediately called the soldiers and crabs. Escort the fish and shrimp in the aquarium who committed the death penalty to the fish carcass. Moreover, as soon as Duke De finished praying, he put the wood beside him, and he picked up the fish, which contained a lot of fish and shrimp. After several times, the fish basket was full. Duke de was so happy that he kept his mouth shut. That night, Degong specially prepared wine, meat and fruit, put the piece of wood on the altar at home, lit incense, bowed to the wood, drank a lot of wine after worship, and went to bed with a little drunkenness. In the middle of the night, he dreamed that a woman was sitting in the hall of his house, wearing a rockhopper, and she only heard her say, "Degong, I am the dragon mother of Yuecheng, and I swim here occasionally." The woman also told the Duke of Germany that the palace would be completed before her birthday on May 8th. Duke de woke up with a start, especially aware of the strange fragrance. Knowing that it was the apocalypse, he burned incense and bowed to the east. A few days later, sure enough, a big ship, full of bricks, bricks, wood, stones and dozens of craftsmen, arrived at the end of Longtan. The master found Chen Degong and said, "I was entrusted by my master to build the Dragon Mother Temple. Please give me instructions to start work. " Duke De didn't refuse. He tried his best to build the Dragon Mother Temple. Sure enough, a spectacular Dragon Mother Temple was built before the Dragon Mother's birthday. At the entrance of the temple, there is a couplet of "Great Religion, Gentle Civilization", and the horizontal approval is Kaotong Hall. There are dragons playing with beads on the ridge of the temple, and gray figures, birds and beasts, mountains and rivers are painted on the wall, which are exquisite and lifelike. Wood carvings such as beams and shrines are exquisite and magnificent. In the center of the hall, the Dragon Mother Empress sits, with four donkey kong standing on both sides. There are auxiliary halls on the left and right of the temple, the Wulong Hall on the left, the Tianhou Palace on the right, and the dressing room of the Dragon Mother Empress in the back seat. On the night when the project was completed, Duke De dreamed that the Dragon Mother would definitely come on the eighth day of May. The next day, Degong asked the villagers to write a list of gods and post it everywhere. Tell the kind people in the countryside that the dragon mother's birthday is the eighth day of May, and the dragon mother will come that day. I hope everyone will accept it sincerely. So, on the eighth day of May, dragon boats from all towns and villages came to celebrate the dragon mother's birthday, and the newly-built dragon boat also painted a "finishing touch". This habit has been passed down to this day. After liberation, local villagers renamed this day "Water Town Festival".

Ganzhutan Dragon Palace

Ganzhutan is a major waterway in Shunde, with one end leading to Guangzhou and the other end leading to Xijiang River. The beach mouth is narrow and the reefs are densely covered. When the flood season comes every year, the floods gather at the mouth of the beach, forming a waterfall, which plunges down from the beach like Ma Benteng. Ships coming and going are very dangerous. If you are not careful, you will be hit by a stone and sink. In the past, dikes on both sides of the river beach were thin, and successive officials paid no attention to building dikes and dams. The riverbank collapsed, floods flooded and people on both sides of the strait were homeless. Losing confidence in the government's dam construction, the villagers had to build various temples on both sides of the strait and ask the gods for help.

The piety of the earth people finally touched the gods. One night in the middle of the night, many people saw two bright lights flashing on the dry bamboo beach, and they rushed straight to the beach mouth with the rushing beach water. At that time, the fishermen bowed down in shock, only to see a giant monster three feet long, covered in scales and shaped like a python rushing to the beach, which passed in an instant. A few days later, a villager found several scales as big as bowls at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain not far from Tankou. At that time, Xiangshan was a place where villagers grazed and often threw cattle. It is speculated that the lost cow must have been swallowed by the snake demon that appeared in the sky that night. At that time, people were very scared, so they built a temple at the foot of Xiangshan, named "Uber Temple".

A rainbow appeared at the top of the temple in the middle of the night. Twenty or thirty miles in Fiona Fang were illuminated as daylight, and the villagers came out to watch. Suddenly there was lightning and thunder, and there was a storm. There was a long dragon soaring into the sky, and soon it was calm again. In this way, the villagers gradually believed that it was not a monster but a dragon that appeared that night, so they renamed the original "Uber Temple" as "Dragon Temple".

Strange to say, since then, except for the occasional loss of cattle, there have been no more stolen livestock on both sides of Ganzhutan, and the floods have also decreased, and the people have lived a long and stable life.
