Providing motor vehicle driving license and motor vehicle third party liability compulsory insurance policy shall be inspected by motor vehicle safety and technical inspection institutions, and no unit may attach other conditions. To meet the national technical standards for motor vehicle safety, the traffic administrative department of the public security organ shall issue inspection marks.

Socialization of motor vehicle safety technical inspection. Specific measures shall be formulated by the State Council.

If the technical inspection of motor vehicle safety is socialized, no unit may require motor vehicles to go to designated places for inspection.

The traffic administrative department of the public security organ and the motor vehicle safety technical inspection institution shall not require motor vehicles to go to designated places for repair and maintenance.

Motor vehicle safety and technical inspection institutions shall strictly implement the charging standards approved by the competent price department of the State Council when collecting motor vehicle inspection fees.
