Why is Sadat's killer called an Islamic hero by Khomeini?

For these assassins, all countries in the world unanimously condemn them, because the random assassination of a country is the greatest disaster, which is tantamount to terrorism. However, there are exceptions. The most typical killer of Sadat is regarded as a hero by Khomeini in Iran. Why? You may not think of the reason.

Besides Nasser, Sadat is the second strongman in modern Egyptian history. 1970 Nasser succeeded to the throne after his death, and Sadat was also a powerful person in Egypt. During his reign, he launched the fourth Middle East War, which caught Israel off guard and almost collapsed.

And constantly promote the reconciliation between Egypt and the West, because he believes that if we continue to fight, the people of the country will be very poor and it will be difficult to last long. To this end, he signed a peace agreement with Israel, recovered the Sinai Peninsula occupied by Israel, and completed the reunification of Egypt. Sadat even won the Nobel Peace Prize, so in fact Sadat is one of the few wise and tough presidents in Egyptian history.

However, only 10 years after he took office, the president was assassinated on the spot by extremist religious elements at 198 10 during the military parade in Egypt to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the October War in June, at the age of 63. After this incident, the whole world is condemning and denouncing such atrocities and terrorist acts. Countries have issued statements demanding that the murderers and those behind the scenes be severely punished.

However, there is one exception, and that is Iran. Immediately after Sadat's assassination, Iran's supreme leader Khomeini issued a statement saying that the murderer was a "hero" of Islam and a model for practicing Islamic jihad. The implication is that he killed well ... so there is a street in Tehran named after an assassin, which is another story. Many people don't understand that this is obviously an atrocity. Why does Khomeini have to call this a hero? In fact, there are three main reasons that you may not think of.

First, hatred.

When Khomeini launched the Islamic Revolution, what he wanted to do most at that time was to arrest King Pahlavi for trial and publicly convict him. To this end, we did not hesitate to launch the Iranian hostage incident, demanding extradition from the United States, and exerting pressure and threats on countries that dared to accept Pahlavi.

Once accepted, the consequences will be very serious, so no country dares to accept Pahlavi, except Sadat. Sadat not only invited Pahlavi to take refuge in Egypt twice, but also treated Pahlavi for cancer, and even Pahlavi died in Egypt. So for Khomeini, he has been in Egypt with Sadat ever since.
