How many terminals are there in Xiamen Airport?

Xiamen Gao Qi Airport has two terminals: T3 and T4. Upon completion, Terminal T4 will be used for domestic terminals (except Xiamen Airlines), and T3 will be used for Xiamen Airlines and international routes to facilitate Xiamen Airlines' international transit.

Optimize the flight area and adjust the functional layout of the terminal.

(1) At present, there are many problems in the facilities and land on the south side of the runway of Xiamen Airport in terms of aircraft operation and ground support. For example, the depth of the station apron is small, which limits the operation of long-range aircraft and greatly limits the parking types; The storage area of ground service facilities is far from the remote station, with less shoreline resources and weak support ability of the remote station. The reconstruction and expansion project plans to optimize the flight area, improve the runway capacity and taxiway operation efficiency, increase the number of aircraft, and plan a reasonable land-side traffic and ground service lane system to ensure the operation requirements.

(2) Due to the narrow platform depth on the north side of Terminal 3, the platform system does not match the original planned operation of Terminal 3 as a domestic terminal. Therefore, this reconstruction and expansion has adjusted the original planned function distribution of the terminal building, changing Terminal 4 into a domestic terminal building, and T3 (Terminal 3) is Xiamen Airlines International Terminal Building. In addition, a corresponding domestic freight terminal will be planned and built near T4 (Terminal 4).

T4 terminal

(1)T4 is the fourth terminal of Xiamen Airport. The construction of this building effectively makes up for the existing Terminal 3 (including the reconstructed T2 remote terminal and T3 main building). T 1 demolished and used for other purposes). The current situation of insufficient reception capacity will make the apron area of Xiamen Airport reach about 8 1 10,000 square meters, with 90 parking spaces, and the annual passenger throughput will increase to more than 27 million passengers (the throughput limit of single runway airport), which will last until the opening of Xiamen Xiang 'an New Airport in 2020.

(2)T4 is 39 meters high, the horizontal projection of the roof steel structure is 25 1.7 meters long in the east-west direction, and the maximum width in the north-south direction is 136 meters. Its structure contains many characteristics. For example, the roof refers to the roof structure of traditional wooden buildings in China. The sloping roof elements of Minnan architecture make it look like a "Dapeng with wings spread". At the same time, large-area glass curtain walls are used on all sides, with a total area of 40,000 square meters. The building is transparent on all sides and has good lighting. In addition, the ceiling of the finger gallery adopts a "perforated louver", which is bright and modern with the golden ceiling.

(3) The internal functional area of 3)T4 is more open and friendly. On the departure floor, the huge passenger buffer area allows all functional areas to be unobstructed, which is more atmospheric than T3. After put into use, the departure floor is equipped with 30 check-in counters, 16 self-service check-in machines and 15 security check-in channels, which can serve passengers to board the plane quickly. It is worth mentioning that T4 adopts 12 scissor boarding bridge, so that passengers go their own way when boarding and disembarking, which improves the operational efficiency of the terminal.

(4) According to the airport, after the "two-tier operation" at the end of the year, Xiamen Airport T3 will operate Xiamen Airlines, China Southern Airlines and overseas routes, while T4 will operate domestic routes of other airlines such as Shandong Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Chunqiu Airlines and Air China. The passenger throughput of the two terminals is equivalent, which not only improves the waiting comfort of passengers, but also makes the related processes smoother.
