Brief introduction of Huaining Economic Development Zone

The overall planning area of the new county 15 square kilometers. /kloc-0 started construction in February, 1999, and the county moved smoothly in February, 2002. The county party committee and the county government have established the development idea of building Xinxian into "an important business and logistics center in southwest Anhui, a distinctive processing and manufacturing base, a famous cultural city with profound heritage, and an ecological city where man and nature live in harmony". Six vertical and six horizontal backbone roads have been built in the new area, criss-crossing urban roads have been basically formed, and related supporting infrastructure such as water, electricity, communication, cable TV, street lamps, greening, squares and sports centers have been basically completed. Up to now, the total investment in fixed assets in the Development Zone has reached 2.8 billion yuan, with a built-up area of 12 square kilometer and a population of about 70,000. The industrial park of the Development Zone started construction in August 2003, with an overall planning area of 15 square kilometers. The industrial park enjoys a superior geographical position and convenient transportation, with Shanghai-Chengdu, Jingfu-expressway in the south and Hefu Railway in the north. It is about 30 minutes' drive from anqing tianzhushan airport and Anqing Wharf. It plays an important role in connecting things and meeting radiation, and is an ideal choice for businessmen to invest and start businesses. The first phase of the industrial park covers an area of 4 square kilometers, and the infrastructure investment is 250 million yuan, which fully realizes "seven connections and one leveling" to meet the construction and production needs of enterprises entering the park. Since the opening of the industrial park, the investment situation is good. A number of Chinese and foreign enterprises, such as Sanhuan Group, Wuxi Solar Energy, Hong Kong Longhui Clothing, Korea Koryo Pharmaceutical, and Japan Sanmutuo Paper, have successively settled in, initially forming a five-industry development pattern with machinery and electronics, auto parts, textiles and clothing, plastic weaving, building materials and paper making as the main body, supplemented by food and medicine, biochemistry, printing and packaging. The second phase of the industrial park covers an area of 4 square kilometers, which was officially started in June, 2006 (10), and officially provided land to the outside world in February, 2007.
