Brief introduction of Foshan West Railway Station

Foshan West Railway Station, located at the intersection of Shishan and Luocun in Nanhai, belongs to Guangzhou South Railway Station of Guangzhou Railway (Group) Company. It is about 8km from Chancheng and 1.5km from Foshan Airport. It is adjacent to Luocun Avenue in the east, Guidan Road in the south, Yegong Avenue in the west and Xingye Road in the north. The east-west span is about 2.2 kilometers, the north-south span is about 1.9 kilometers, and the total area is about 4 square kilometers. It is planned to design 10 platform and 18 inbound and outbound track lines, which are scheduled to be completed in 20 17 and 12. It is estimated that there will be 92 pairs of trains in Foshan West Railway Station in 2022 and 135 pairs in 2032, with 2 1 10,000 passengers and 317500 passengers respectively, which has both passenger and freight functions. Foshan West Station was originally a supporting project of Guiguang and nanning-guangzhou railway, and was originally used as an intermediate station. This project has been reserved in the Coordinated Development Plan of Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomeration (2004-2020). As one of the important passenger stations of Guangzhou Hub, Foshan West Railway Station will connect Guiguang, nanning-guangzhou railway, western coastal railway, Guangzhou-Foshan Ring Road, Guangzhou-Foshan Zhaocheng and other lines in function, closely connect with subway, highway and other modes of transportation, and mainly undertake passenger flow in the Pearl River Delta region facing the west and intercity passenger flow. It is an important node of Guangzhou Hub and Guangzhou-Foshan Metropolitan Area facing the southwest.
