What does Pingba mean?

Pingba, also known as Pingba District, is a municipal district of Anshun City, Guizhou Province.

Pingba District, located in the southwest of China and the middle of Guizhou Province, is named after its "vast territory and abundant resources". Zhijin county, Bijie City in the north, Guiyang, the provincial capital in the east and Xixiu District in the west. Traffic trunk lines in many countries run through the whole territory. It is an important transportation hub in Guizhou Province and even the southwest of China, and is known as the "Golden Passage in the West and Cultural Corridor in Central Guizhou".

Pingba District is located in the hinterland of central Guizhou, 48 kilometers northeast of Guiyang, the provincial capital, and 38 kilometers southwest of Anshun, a tourist center city on the western line of Guizhou. It is the east gate of Anshun.
