Jiajiang Middle School, formerly known as Jiajiang County Junior High School, was founded in June 1939 and officially opened in February 1940 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. On June 1953, Jiajiang Middle School was officially named "Jiajiang Middle School in Sichuan Province" by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, and on June 1978, it was named as Leshan Key Middle School.
