Baotou Medical College, founded in 1958, is one of the earlier general medical colleges established in minority areas of New China. After 60 years of twists and turns, Baotou Medical College has developed into an influential and distinctive regional institution of higher learning, which has trained more than 20,000 talents at all levels and made positive contributions to the economic development, social progress and medical and health undertakings of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
