Jiaonan city used to be ancient Langya. As early as 6,000 years ago, people lived here and created a splendid Langya culture. More than 30 ancient cultural sites and a large number of cultural relics have been discovered, which traces the history of Jiaonan back to the early primitive society. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Qi Huangong built a town in Langya, which was called "the town of the East". At that time, people praised it as an "oriental resort". Both Qi Huangong and Qi Jinggong in history yearned for Langya. The ruins of the Great Wall of Qi State, built in the 4th century BC, run through Jiaonan for more than 50 kilometers. Gou Jian, the king of Yue, destroyed Wu, and moved the capital from Huiji to Langya in 472 BC as a base for establishing hegemony. It lasted for eight generations of monarchs, ***224 years. After Qin Shihuang destroyed the Six Kingdoms, Langya became one of the 36 counties, and the county seat was located in the present town of Langya. Qin Shihuang traveled around the world five times and boarded Langya three times. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty also visited here three times. Later, emperors such as Xuan Di and Emperor Han Ming boarded Langya. Langya Port is one of the five largest ports in ancient China. Xu Fu, the alchemist of Qin Dynasty, set sail from Langya Port, seeking the medicine of immortality, and finally arrived in Japan. Sino-Japanese friendly exchanges began here, and Jiaonan is one of the birthplaces of China's foreign friendly exchanges. Because the ancient Langya is famous for its glorious history and wonderful scenery of mountains and seas, scholars of all dynasties also yearn for it. Famous writers such as Xie Tiao in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Li Bai, Bai Juyi and Li Shangyin in the Tang Dynasty, Su Shi in the Song Dynasty and Ding in the Qing Dynasty left a large number of poems and songs describing the scenery of Langya Mountain, which shone brightly in the profound Langya Mountain culture.

Since the Ming dynasty, the scene of two mountains wrapped in clouds has been called "two beads embedded in clouds", ranking first among the eight local scenes. Dazu Shan Qi is full of flowers and grass, and it is a secluded place for Buddhist celebrities. Although it is a relic now, it still tells people the story of the past. Here, you can "spread moss and read poems" and lead you into the profound humanistic realm of "famous mountains on the shore and sea" When you enter Zhu Xiao, you will feel that "the cloud is born in the first step, and the breath can reach the throne". Springs, waterfalls, caves, strange rocks and peaks not only show wonderful scenery, but also carry many beautiful legends. On the sea, five islands, namely Lingshan Island, Zhaitang Island and Guanmu Island, facing Dazhushan and Zhuxiaoshan, stand on the blue waves like painting screens. There are many golden beaches ten miles wide along the coast, embracing the blue waves and silver waves, which are connected with various coastal reefs. Lingshan Bay and Longwan Bay in happy ever after have been turned into bathing beaches, which are paradise for people to cool off in summer. There are also famous scenic spots in Jiaonan, such as "Tiezhi Hanging Spring" and "Jiaohe Cheng Yue", which still attract people to look for eternal charming spirit.
