Construction of Guixin Tunnel started.

Fuzhou's traffic construction project-Jin 'an Xindian to Lianjiang Gui 'an Tunnel, will start construction in August 2007. 4700 meters "The Second Long Tunnel of Bamin Expressway"

In the 1990s, the city proposed the idea of building Guixin Tunnel. In the original design, the tunnel was more than 8200 meters long. However, due to excessive investment and difficult construction, the project was not completed.

According to the new scheme, the length of Guixin Tunnel is shortened to about 4,700 meters, which is more than 800 meters shorter than the 5,580-meter-long Meiluling Tunnel of Sanfu Expressway. Guixin Tunnel can be called "the second longest tunnel of Bamin Expressway". Guixin Tunnel adopts a two-way structure with upper and lower separation and is built according to highway standards. The left and right tunnels are14.5m wide, with two lanes. The south entrance of the tunnel is located on the north side of Yuanshan Mountain, and it will be connected with Fuzhou urban road network through the ring expressway and connecting line. The 10 bridge will be built from the north entrance of the tunnel to Gui 'an interchange. The longest is the Xiwan Bridge, which is 532 meters long. The highest is Yafengsi Bridge No.2, with a deck height of 42 meters, equivalent to 14 floor. The total length of 10 bridge is 2882 meters, accounting for about 48% of the total length of this section, all of which are continuous T-beam structures. The technical content and construction difficulty of Guixin Tunnel are rare in the history of road and bridge construction in our province.

In the same period, when the Ring Expressway is completed, eight interchanges will be built.

Guixin Tunnel is a control project of Fuzhou Ring Expressway. The construction of Guixin Tunnel marks the official opening of Fuzhou Ring Expressway.

Fuzhou Ring Expressway starts from Shangjie Town, Minhou, connects with the completed Sanming-Fuzhou Expressway, passes through Xindian, Gui Hu and Pandu, reaches Lianjiang Yangmen, and connects with the completed Luo Chang Expressway, with a total length of about 46 kilometers. The whole line is built according to the standard of expressway. Among them, about 12km from the starting point to Xiling is a two-way six-lane road with a design speed of 100km and a subgrade width of 33.5m Among them, Qinting-Huai 'antou section will be merged with Fuzhou Third Ring Road, which is an integral part of the Third Ring Road. After the tunnel is completed, it only takes 10 minutes to drive from Xindian to Lianjiang Gui 'an.

The construction of Fuzhou Ring Expressway and Guixin Tunnel, together with Fuzhou East Ring Expressway with a planned total investment of 4 1 100 million yuan and a length of nearly 60 kilometers, will form a three-ring expressway structure with Fuzhou interlocking and facing the East China Sea. After the completion of Guixin Tunnel, the travel time from Xindian to Lianjiang Gui 'an will be shortened to about 10 minutes. The main projects include Bailong Hub Interchange, Jingxi Hub Interchange (reserved), Ganhong Road Downramp, Yongfeng Interchange, 7 mainline bridges (total length 10650m), 1 Xiazhai Toll Plaza, 8 culverts and 2 passages. "The northwest section of Fuzhou Ring Expressway is not only the fast lane out of the city, but also the direct connection of Beijing-Taiwan Expressway!" It is reported that the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway starts in Beijing, passes through Tianjin, Cangzhou, Dezhou, Jinan, Tai 'an, Qufu, Xuzhou, Bengbu, Hefei, Tongling, Huangshan, Quzhou, Nanping and Fuzhou, and ends in Taipei, with a total length of 2,030 kilometers.

Minjiang Bridge of Fuzhou Ring Expressway is also an integral part of Fuzhou section of Beijing-Taiwan Expressway. The line that has started ahead of schedule starts from Pantong to Xiling Interchange, passes through Dafuling in Gulou District, Xindian Town in Jin 'an District, Huanxi Town, Pandu Township and Donghu Town in Lianjiang County, and finally reaches Yangmen in Lianjiang County, where a Yangmen Hub is set up to connect with shenyang-haikou expressway. The southeast section of Fuzhou Ring Expressway started.
