Thinking of applying for a financial position at Huawei, does anyone know if interviews at Huawei are difficult?

Time: July 4, 2017

Location: Wuhan, Ramada Optics Valley Hotel

Type: Huawei’s preferential recruitment (autumn recruitment is approved in advance)

Interview position: Account Manager

First of all, let’s talk about the most basic attire. The account manager position belongs to Huawei’s sales system. You will have to meet customers in the future. Wear casual and basic clothes during the interview. All have been wiped out. Boys must wear formal attire (no white socks). Girls do not need to wear the most formal formal attire, but they must wear more formal attire.

Secondly, students who graduated between 2018.01.01 and 2018.12.31 can participate in Huawei’s 2018 campus recruitment. Those who did not graduate during this period are not included in this autumn recruitment.

Finally, remember to buy some snacks to take with you. All the Huawei interview process will be completed within one day, although the water and snacks prepared by Huawei will not be finished at all...

Next It is a specific interview process, divided into the following steps:

①Resume test——②Personality test——③Group interview (one side)——④Business interview (two sides)——⑤BOSS interview (three sides) ——⑥English test——⑦Total score ranking.

1. Resume check (online application)

Go to Huawei’s official website to register and fill in a standard version of your resume. Please pay attention to two points.

First, the official website version of the resume template is a little bit sloppy and may not be able to contain your experience well. Remember to add personal achievements or other explanations to the basic information (as shown in the picture below). Pay attention to layout.

amp;lt;img src="/50/v2-ce9b12676fa173a8620591209eeaf87d_hd.jpg" data-rawwidth="640" data-rawheight="248" class="origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb" width= "640" data-original="/v2-ce9b12676fa173a8620591209eeaf87d_r.jpg"amp;gt;

Second, pay attention to the position you are applying for. Huawei only looks at the first choice and generally does not look at the second choice. , if you want to interview for two different positions, please contact the HR responsible for recruitment.

Third: Huawei now prefers prestigious schools. Generally, those who get in are 985, or at least 211. The scores of each round of interviews in Shuangfei must be very high before they can be admitted in the end.

2. Personality test

The personality test is simple.

If your resume is approved, Huawei will send a text message

amp;lt;img src="/50/v2-5a4509405f106481a98bab1636c12cd6_hd.jpg" data-rawwidth="539" data-rawheight="578" class ="origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb" width="539" data-original="/v2-5a4509405f106481a98bab1636c12cd6_r.jpg"amp;gt;

After entering the website, you can see:

amp;lt;img src="/50/v2-92a9afa2586e8df1d95125e9657cfaf3_hd.jpg" data-rawwidth="640" data-rawheight="398" class="origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb" width="640" data-original ="/v2-92a9afa2586e8df1d95125e9657cfaf3_r.jpg"amp;gt;

It doesn’t matter if you exceed the time limit during the test. It is limited to 35 minutes, but I was confused because of many options, so I did it for 45 minutes, and it was fine in the end. ...Remember to take the test when you are in a good mood, or adjust your emotions before taking the test. Basically no one will be ignored at this step, but there will be a specific test score that the interviewer can see.

After passing the test, I received the following text message:

amp;lt;img src="/50/v2-39fd16acef30972831e71c7d64fe739b_hd.jpg" data-rawwidth="640" data-rawheight= "521" class="origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb" width="640" data-original="/v2-39fd16acef30972831e71c7d64fe739b_r.jpg"amp;gt;

3. Group face (one side)

There are many methods for group interviews. It is recommended to find friends to organize simulated group interviews (thanks again to Hu Shijian from the Institute of Telecommunications). Huawei group meetings generally have 18 people and last about 70 minutes.

It’s quite unfortunate to be rejected at this step, but the principle of the group interview is to eliminate the bad ones, not to select the best ones. It is to reject those who are obviously not suitable for the interview position, so don’t feel any pressure. It’s normal. Just perform well. If you are rejected, it means you are not suitable for this position. This is not a bad luck.

And the greater the pressure and the more you worry about gains and losses, the worse your performance will be. I met at 9 o'clock, and my legs were shaking at 8:30. I wanted to run away to school at that time, but at 8:50, I suddenly became excited, as if there was a knife on my neck, and then I roared in my heart. : Come on, come and chop me down. After that, we are in a good state (so we have to face difficulties and challenges head-on... when we no longer want to escape, we have real courage).

When the time is almost up in the lounge, HR will come to call people. People in the same meeting stand in a row outside the conference room, collect their ID cards one by one, and then enter the conference room.

After entering, there are two rows. The interviewers sit face to face, and the rows on the same side form a group. Note that you choose your own seat. If you are not afraid of having your aura suppressed, you may consider sitting next to the interviewer.

amp;lt;img src="/50/v2-9c1fbeda8c7692e66905441df88d7e8a_hd.jpg" data-rawwidth="640" data-rawheight="425" class="origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb" width= "640" data-original="/v2-9c1fbeda8c7692e66905441df88d7e8a_r.jpg"amp;gt;

(The general layout of the conference room is different from the scene, each group has a small blackboard for recording)

After sitting down, I started writing the nameplate. The interviewer gave me the nameplate format, and there was a folded nameplate on site: fold it in half and write your name, place of origin, school, major and interview position. Be careful not to write it backwards. Start writing from the middle and go to the edge. It will stand up just right (take out a pen and paper and try it?).

I wrote it backwards. When I stood up, I was stunned. The interviewer was right next to me! But I hesitated for 10 seconds, and wisely took out the brand new A4 paper from the bag behind the stool and wrote it again...

There is a small detail here: you must also write your name on the back of the nameplate. After all, only the interviewer can see the front, but the friends can't see anything... Then there is a little trick. If the interviewer does not specify the format of the nameplate, you can add the word "undergraduate" after the school. Huawei prefers undergraduate students. Of course, graduate students should not write.

The next step is mainly divided into four links, namely:

Self-introduction - discussion within the group - PK between groups - PK within the group.

The self-introduction is completely prepared in advance. You can memorize 3 different versions, half a minute, one minute and others. It is recommended to put the core content into the 30s version, the one-minute version and other versions. Expand based on the 30s version.

This step is very, very, very important! ! !

What does group meeting do? It allows the interviewer to find our unique points, which distinguish us from others and leave an impression on the interviewer. The self-introduction link is also our only fair and unnecessary speech. Opportunities for everyone to express themselves well.

In this link, the interviewer will know who he wants and who he doesn’t want. The next few links will focus on the majority of people who are not sure, so If you were not asked during the interviewer's question-and-answer session later, it may be a must-pass. After all, the time in the group interview is limited, and the interviewer cannot waste any more time on us.

Don’t ask me why I know this. Sitting next to the interviewer, I saw with my own eyes that the interviewer next to me circled the names of 4 people during the self-introduction process to the whole group. In the end, they All passed.

Also, if the interviewer does not specify the order of self-introduction, try to be the first to speak, preferably the first one to speak. Generally, the first person to speak will pass smoothly. I don’t know about other positions, but sales positions require taking the initiative. How to take the initiative? Be the first to speak.

After the self-introduction to break the ice, we entered the group discussion, which is a typical leaderless group discussion. It is nothing more than the discussion framework (including time allocation and the establishment of standards/processes), role classification (leader, reporter, timer), actively participating in and promoting the discussion process, affirming other people's opinions and ideas, etc.

During this process, it is necessary to note down those people who promote the progress of the group discussion, because there is also a PK within the group at the end, and the best and worst performers must be selected, and even from Sort from high to low.

I won’t go into the specific aspects of the discussion. You can search a lot of these routines on Zhihu.

amp;lt;img src="/50/v2-3fdfbc029ef9f2e801eb18d3b0cf1b12_hd.jpg" data-rawwidth="640" data-rawheight="433" class="origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb" width= "640" data-original="/v2-3fdfbc029ef9f2e801eb18d3b0cf1b12_r.jpg"amp;gt;

If you don't have a strong personality, it doesn't matter if you can't get in the middle of the group discussion. If others have good ideas, just support him. Okay, the key is to push the discussion forward, and don't let the interviewer notice that you are obviously out of the crowd. There will be better opportunities for display in the subsequent supplementary sessions and inter-group PK sessions.

It is worth mentioning that Huawei’s group interview questions tend to be sorted, so you can answer questions in a targeted manner. In my session, I ranked the importance of 15 occupations one by one.

After the discussion within the group, that is, after the reporter statements of the two groups have ended and the team members have completed their supplements (if any), the inter-group PK session will begin. Pay attention to when the other team member makes a summary statement. , it is time to conduct record analysis. At this time, you can think about the vulnerabilities of the opposite team. The plan formed in such a short period of time will definitely have deficiencies or omissions, or even problems with the entire framework.

It is certain that the discussion results of the two groups are different, but in the PK session between the groups, the overall similarities and differences between the two groups should be found.

First point out the common points to show that the two groups have reached a consensus in these places, and then discuss the different points one by one. Don't hold on to a certain point and argue endlessly. In this case, HR may not want to listen to what these people are saying at all.

Be sure to strive for about 2 valid speeches in the inter-group PK session. If you do less, you will have no sense of presence. If you do too much, you will steal your teammates' performance opportunities and cause resentment, and you may be kicked out.

Here are two more tricks:

First, it is easier to get a chance to speak at the beginning of PK between groups. Later, the degree of disputes and differences between the two groups may be different. It's very violent, and it's hard to have a chance to speak at this time. Even if you forcefully grab it, if you can't control the field or be steady, you will easily lose points.

Second, you must "come before anyone speaks up", that is, when you are about to stand up, speak directly and talk to your side while getting up. Don't stand up first before speaking, otherwise you will be in the "get up and sit down" position. ", "Get up and sit down", "Get up and sit down" are endless loops, like Super Mario that can't hit the mushrooms, it's so embarrassing.

Because people generally don’t force others to talk, they are more polite, so if you have prepared strong and powerful content, just do it like this, so that people don’t say too much. (This is what Qu Yi'an from Xinchuan College taught me during a mock interview. It subverted my three views. Sure enough, there are specialties in the field...)

The last step is the PK session within the group. This link requires you to start with self-introduction, and then rank the contributions of the members in the group through intra-group discussions and inter-group PK.

This requires us to record the dynamics of the team members at all times during the entire interview, and have a general impression of what everyone in the team said and did, so that we can be reasonable when called upon by HR. Say it out loud.

Objectively it doesn’t matter who is the best and who is the worst. Don’t be afraid of offending people. This is just an interview. As long as you clearly express your views to the interviewer with evidence and logic, don't avoid or be nervous. What the interviewer asks shows that he is interested in you or still has doubts. Your speech at this time may determine life or death.
