How to introduce glass skills

1) to cut 2-3m thick flat glass, first measure the glass size with a 2mm× 12mm thin wooden ruler, set the cutting size on the ruler, and consider leaving a 3mm gap and a 2mm knife edge. When cutting, the dimension side can be close to the glass side. Glass cutter is close to the other end of the ruler, and grabs the blade and strokes backwards without any light or heavy bending.

2) Cutting glass with a thickness of 4-6mm. The method is roughly as above. However, because the glass is thick, it should be held accurately and stably when cutting, and the force should be uniform. Another cutting method is to use a 4mm×50mm ruler, and glass cutter is close to the ruler for cutting. When cutting, brush some kerosene on the cutting mouth in advance to make it easy to pull off after the cutting mouth leaks oil.

3) Use a 5mm×40mm ruler to cut large pieces of glass with a thickness of 5-6 mm in the same way. But the large piece of glass has a large area, and people standing on the ground can't cut it. Sometimes they need to stand on the glass and cut. Before cutting, the flannel must be placed on the workbench to make the glass press evenly. After cutting, hold the glass with both hands and take it off at the same time, so as to avoid accidentally breaking the whole glass.

4) The cutting method of laminated glass is the same as that of 5-6mm flat glass, but the cutting surface of laminated glass is uneven, and the trimming is easy to slide and difficult to master. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the cutting edge, hold the cutter head firmly, use more force and speed than ordinary glass, so that there will be no bending and straightness. After cutting, hold the glass tightly with both hands and pull it down hard to break the clamp, and then cut the clamp with pliers to avoid cutting the palm of your hand during handling.

5) cut the embossed glass with the embossed surface facing downwards, and the cutting method is the same as that of the laminated glass.

6) Cut the frosted glass with the frosted surface facing down, and the cutting method is the same as that of the flat glass.
