Shijiazhuang Gaocheng is a second-tier city. According to the local treasure network, Shijiazhuang City has 8 districts and 13 counties (cities), namely Chang'an District, Qiaoxi District, Xinhua District, Yuhua District, Jingxing Mining District, Gaocheng District, Luquan District, Luancheng District, Jingxing District County, Zhengding County, Xingtang County, Lingshou County, Gaoyi County, Shenze County, Zanhuang County, Wuji County, Pingshan County, Yuanshi County, Zhao County, Jinzhou City, Xinle City. It has two national-level development zones, namely Shijiazhuang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (established with the approval of the State Council in March 1991) and Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone (approved by Hebei Province in July 1992, and upgraded to A national development zone under the jurisdiction of Gaocheng District, formerly known as Gaocheng Economic Development Zone). Gaocheng District is located in the southwest of Hebei Province, east of the provincial capital Shijiazhuang City, between 37°51′～38°18′44″ north latitude and 114°38′45″～114°58′47″ east longitude.
