The economy and culture of Dahuang Garden have become increasingly prosperous, forming a market called Dahuang Garden Market (now the old city) and becoming the political, economic and cultural center of Huang Qi's capital.

In the second year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty (19 10), all the yellow flags in Xiangshan County were renamed as District 9 in Xiangshan County (1930 was also renamed as Donghai District, less than one year later), and the administrative area of District 9 in Xiangshan County included Huangpu, Fusha, Nantou, Sanjiao, Wang Lang, Renmin and a part of Dongfeng Town. Dagang, Tanzhou, Wanqingsha and huangge town in Panyu City; Xiaohuangpu and Koryo Administrative District of Shunde City. In the same month, Dagang, Tanzhou, Wanqingsha and Huangge were separated to form the fifteenth district of Zhongshan County. District 15 of Zhongshan County was transferred to Panyu County in July, 1959.
