(hereinafter referred to as Jiujiang Petrochemical) is located at the foot of Lushan Mountain, the bank of the Yangtze River and the bank of Poyang Lake. Originally known as Jiujiang Refinery, it was approved by the state in 1975, and was completed and put into operation in June/980. It is a directly affiliated enterprise of China Petrochemical Company, a key enterprise in Central China and the Yangtze River Basin, and the only large petrochemical enterprise in Jiangxi Province.

The company mainly has atmospheric and vacuum distillation, catalytic cracking, continuous reforming, delayed coking, gasoline and diesel hydrogenation, residue hydrogenation, hydrocracking, hydrogen production from coal, polypropylene and other production devices, as well as supporting utilities and auxiliary systems. Crude oil enters the factory through Yizheng and Changling pipelines, and refined oil leaves the factory through pipelines and railways.

Mainly produces gasoline, coal, diesel, aromatic hydrocarbons, polypropylene and other petrochemical products. The existing comprehensive crude oil processing capacity is 8 million tons/year, covering an area of 4.08 square kilometers and employing nearly 3,000 people. Since it was put into production for 4 1 year, it has accumulated more than 100 million tons of crude oil/kloc-0, and paid more than 100 million yuan in profits and taxes 1 00, which has made positive contributions to ensuring the supply of refined oil market in Jiangxi Province and its surrounding areas and to the national economic and social construction.

The use of oil:

1, fuel

This is one of the most widely used aspects of petroleum. About 70% of the world's oil is refined into various fuels, such as gasoline for automobiles, diesel for large machinery and fuel for airplanes, ships and other vehicles.

2. Asphalt

The road we walk every day is poured with asphalt, also called asphalt, which is a substance produced in the process of petroleum refining and processing. Roads all over the world are built with this material, so you can imagine how widely it is used.

3. Aviation gasoline

Jet planes mainly use this fuel because of its high flying height. In order to adapt to the low temperature and high speed environment, it is required to generate a lot of heat at MINUS 50 degrees to ensure the rapid and stable flight of the aircraft.

4. Diesel oil

Diesel oil can be divided into light diesel oil and heavy diesel oil, which is a processed product of petroleum. The diesel oil with lower boiling point is called light diesel oil, and the diesel oil with higher boiling point can be further classified according to its freezing point. Diesel oil is mainly used in large machinery, vehicles and ships. The advantages of diesel engine are low fuel consumption, high reliability and large torque, but it has serious air pollution and loud noise.

5. Fuel

Mainly used as fuel for large boilers, ships and industrial production.
