Xianyou County is located in the middle of the southeast coast of Fujian, at the junction of the north and south coasts of Meizhou Bay, and in the middle and upper reaches of Mulan River. The county borders Putian City in the east, Yongchun and Dehua in the west, Quangang District, Hui 'an County and Nan 'an City in Quanzhou in the south, Yongtai in the north, Meizhou Bay, Xiuyu Port and Xiaocuo Port in the southeast.
