Is Suning Zhuangyuanhu Reservoir Living Water?

The Zhuangyuan Lake Reservoir in Suning has no flowing water. According to relevant public information, Zhuangyuan Lake is a big pit formed by the construction of Daguang Expressway and Huang Shuo Railway. The local government hopes to turn waste into treasure, and after research, it decided to build a drinking water reservoir here. Soon after, with the implementation of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, Suning people directly drank the sweet Yangtze River water, and Zhuangyuan Lake Reservoir became a backup reservoir. The surplus earthwork excavated during the construction of the reservoir is piled up on the hill of Zhuangyuan Lake Park. The area of Zhuangyuan Lake is 1.223 mu, and the water volume is 5 1. 1.000 cubic meters. The construction of this project started in early 20 17 and was completed in April 20 18. Trial storage began at the end of May, and the current total storage capacity has reached 5 million cubic meters. The completion of Zhuangyuan Lake has satisfied the irrigation water problem of 30,000 mu of farmland in 6 surrounding towns 19 villages, and will further improve the ecological environment of Suning.
