Lubumbashi is a city in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Lubumbashi is the most important industrial and mining city in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the second largest city, the capital of Katanga Province. It is located on the plateau at the southeast end of the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo, about 20 kilometers south of the border of Zambia. There are abundant rare metal deposits nearby.
