What country is Lubumbashi?

Lubumbashi is a city in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Lubumbashi is the most important industrial and mining city in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the second largest city, the capital of Katanga Province. It is located on the plateau at the southeast end of the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo, about 20 kilometers south of the border of Zambia. There are abundant rare metal deposits nearby.

There is no direct flight between Congo (DRC) and China. The routes operated by Ethiopian Airlines (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) have established communication links between Lubumbashi and big cities in China. After Air Egypt signed the contract with Guangzhou Wolff International Logistics Co., Ltd. as a freight forwarding company, the freight volume between China and Ganggang increased day by day.

Air transport plays an extremely important role in the domestic transport system of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Because there is no road, railway or waterway connection between provincial capitals, the land is not smooth, and the plane is the most important means of transportation. Due to the lack of maintenance and updating, most aviation infrastructure and aircraft are seriously aging.

The service quality, punctuality and safety of domestic flights are poor, and air crashes occur frequently. Part of its international flights are operated by foreign airlines, and its safety is relatively guaranteed. There are 6 airlines operating 12 routes in lubumbashi international airport, serving 10 cities in 5 countries and regions. Include Kinshasa, Lusaka, Johannesburg, Nairobi and Addis Ababa.
