The direction that the engineering laboratory intends to break through is:

The function and task of the engineering laboratory is to build a complete technical support and service system for methanol to olefins at the national level, carry out technical improvement and process optimization in combination with major methanol to olefins projects, complete the demonstration task of coal to olefins industry, formulate relevant technical standards for methanol to olefins, and lead and drive the smooth development of coal to olefins industry; Focusing on the key technologies of methanol to olefins, we will build an innovative R&D platform for methanol conversion and utilization, and continuously provide advanced methanol conversion technologies with independent intellectual property rights for the modern coal to olefins industry; Accelerate the formation of applied basic research results, realize the unity of key technology innovation and overall technology integration, give full play to the role of engineering laboratory as a bridge and link between small test results and industrialized technology, and promote the industrialization process; Make use of the established technical platform and advantages to promote the engineering development of the new generation technologies of methanol to olefins and methanol to propylene; Based on the technicians engaged in methanol conversion in the initial stage of laboratory construction in Dalian Institute of Chemical Technology, a group of innovative engineering talents were condensed and trained, and a strong R&D technical team for methanol conversion was gradually formed in the process of laboratory construction. After the normal operation of the laboratory, through the training of its own talents, it is more important to openly recruit high-quality professionals at home and abroad, expand the team, and become a domestic first-class and internationally competitive methanol conversion R&D team.
