Zhengzhou Salt Administration Bureau is a public institution directly under the Municipal People's Government. Zhengzhou Salt Industry Company is the only state-owned salt monopoly enterprise in Zhengzhou City, which is mainly responsible for the supply of iodized salt for permanent population and floating population in counties (cities) under the jurisdiction of the city and the supply of salt for industry, agriculture, fishery and animal husbandry. The bureau has one organization, two brands, independent functions and co-location. Zhengzhou Salt Administration Bureau was established at 1984, located at No.91,Qianjie, West Chen Zhuang, Erqi District, Zhengzhou City, which is mainly responsible for the management of salt market and the law enforcement of salt administration in the whole city. Zhengzhou Salt Industry Company is responsible for the management and supply of edible iodized salt, salt for industrial production and salt for agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery. Zhengzhou Salt Industry Company and three salt wholesale departments are national "AAA" level salt wholesale enterprises, with on-the-job employees 169 and 39 retired employees. The annual sales volume of salt products is about1400,000 tons, of which the sales volume of salt is more than 0/200,000 tons, and the sales volume of imported salt is 35,000-40,000 tons, mainly supplying refined salt, seaweed iodized salt and low sodium salt. It was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit of Salt Franchise" by Henan Salt Administration Bureau year after year, and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit of National Salt Market Management" by the Salt Management Office of the National Development and Reform Commission in 2004.
