Xianxiaguan is located in Nanxian Xia Ling, Baoan Township, Jiangshan City, Zhejiang Province, at the junction of Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces. Gu Quan and Quanling were called in ancient times, together with Jianmenguan, Hanguguan and Yanmenguan, they are called the four ancient passes in China.

Xianxiaguan city is connected with mountains in the east and west, and there is a narrow road between the north and the south. It is the throat of ancient Quzhou (now Quxian County, Zhejiang Province) and Jianzhou (now Jianou, Fujian Province). Xianxiaguan is famous for its grandeur and rigor. Known as the "key of Zhejiang and Fujian", it has always been a battleground for military strategists.

There are four closed roads and five kilometers of granite ancient roads in Xianxiaguan, which is the best preserved site of Huang Chao in the late Tang Dynasty in China and a provincial key cultural relics protection unit in Zhejiang Province.
