The full name of Zhong Kai High-tech Zone is Zhong Kai High-tech Industrial Development Zone. 1992 was established with the approval of the State Council, and was named after Mr. Liao Zhongkai, a pioneer of modern democratic revolution. It is one of the 88 national high-tech zones in China.

Zhong Kai High-tech Zone is located in the core of Shenzhen-Guan Hui area, bordering Shenzhen in the south, Dongguan in the west and Guangzhou and Hongkong, with an area of about 500 square kilometers.
