When Yamazaki's Dialogue with Korea was published, it coincided with South Korean President park geun-hye's visit to China. In 2009, when his Dialogue with America was published, it coincided with US President Barack Obama's visit to China. In 2007, his Seven-Day Talks was published, which coincided with Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda's visit to China. ...
All three books are so coincidental, my friend joked that the next time a leader wants to visit China, Shan Qi should be encouraged to write another interview.
Shan Qi, a famous TV program planner, suddenly turned to writing and published four books in succession, which makes people curious: What is the story behind the turn? What did he write in the book?
Dreams drift north for music
I came to Beijing on 1995. I worked as a Chinese teacher in the south and a Communist Youth League secretary in an enterprise.
I won the national competition prize from primary school music, and I have a musical dream in my heart, but my hometown has no corresponding soil and I can't afford to play, so I made up my mind to travel to Beijing.
When the pressure of "drifting north" is high, food, clothing, housing and transportation are all problems. When you can't find a job at first, you interview musicians yourself. 1995 is a year of the rise of China pop music. At that time, there were few "entertainment stories", and all newspapers needed to interview artists' first-hand manuscripts. This is my earliest "self-media".
I am lucky that I have never been rejected for an interview. At that time, artists were simple. In addition, many interview resources are recommended by singers.
In China, writing is difficult to survive, and the media's contribution fee is low, and it is issued late, and some of them are still delayed. I brought 3000 yuan in my pocket when I came to Beijing, and I kept my ticket when I went back. I have to use every penny I have left carefully. At that time, you could take the subway and never take a taxi. I can take the bus and never take the subway.
Incoming and outgoing TV lines
The bitterness of Beipiao mainly comes from mental pressure, and we are full of fear for the future. Fortunately, the rent was cheap then. I rented a small bungalow, and the landlord's children had to take the senior high school entrance examination. They beat children every day and told me that Beijing is so difficult to mix. Let's go back.
1995, channel [v] started the column "Very China" to recruit employees, and my friend recommended me. Due to the preparation of the interview for half a year before, I soon took up my job and became a TV person from then on.
10 years later, he successively moved to Phoenix TV and MTV, and directed and planned the first to sixth CCTV-MTV music festivals. In 200 1 year, I became the cover of China Youth Magazine. When I was the secretary of the Youth League Committee, I was responsible for subscribing and distributing this magazine, and I was honored to be recommended by a magazine I was familiar with.
After 10 years in the TV industry, I decided to quit in 2004. This line of work is too stressful, there is no personal time, and all the work is repetitive. I catch up with the program every week and award prizes at the end of each year. I feel there is no room for improvement. In this state, people are particularly prone to fatigue.
At the end of 2004, I gave up my job envied by many people and went to Peking University to study.
Yoshikazu Katō asked me to start a conversation.
I have never regretted my choice, because I never infer the value of action from the results and always enjoy every stage of my life.
At Peking University, I wrote an autobiography while reading, and was occasionally invited by friends to have a big party. In 2006, I met Yoshikazu Katō, a Japanese student studying in Peking University. He is a very motivated and thoughtful young man, rare among his peers, and there is no obstacle to communication. I thought for a few days and decided to write a dialogue with him.
When I do TV, I'm building a bridge between eastern and western pop music, and writing books is also a bridge to realize cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. In this way, Seven Days Talk was published and won a publishing award that year.
Later, I wrote Dialogue with America, and this year I published Dialogue with South Korea. In contrast, the latter two books are more in-depth dialogues with professional scholars.
We have many misunderstandings about Korea.
China and South Korea are familiar with each other, but there are some misunderstandings among the people. I hope my book can play a positive role.
For example, many netizens are worried about the Dragon Boat Festival in South Korea. In fact, the Dragon Boat Festival culture in Korea is really profound, which is very different from ours. Korean people can express their opinions freely, and there are indeed right-leaning voices, but they are not the mainstream, but we always regard a few views as universal views. Perhaps, there is no need to be so sensitive, and good things can't be said.
Korean tradition is well protected, and people love China's traditional culture very much. In contrast, Koreans are more conservative, while China people are more open and have no taboos. On the streets of Korea, lovers can't hug and kiss. In fact, westernization is not bad.
A large part of China people's understanding of South Korea comes from Korean dramas, but most of them are for the elderly, like men are superior to women, which is not the case in life. But Koreans are very polite and have a strong sense of hierarchy, so young people must bow when they see their predecessors.
Chinese people have always been tolerant in history, but now they are a little harsh, too concerned about other people's opinions and lack the mind of a big country. In fact, you should also listen to other people's criticism. Only when people respect you and wish you a good life will they comment. In my opinion, only when our mentality is not so fragile can we be truly strong. (Beijing Morning Post 2065438+July 7, 2003) Shan Qi's inspirational autobiography "Walking on the Edge of Entertainment" was published by Writers Publishing House in March 2006;
The Seven-Day Talk by Yamazaki and Yoshikazu Katō was published by Xinhua Publishing House in August 2007.
Dialogue with America is a folk dialogue between Shan Qi and Ou Yalun, which was published by foreign languages press in June 2009.
Dialogue with North Korea by Shan Qi and Quan Jiyong was published by Sichuan People's Publishing House on June 20 13.
