Li Jinyong (1835- 1890) was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu. In his early years, he went to the sea to do business with his father, and later donated officials with silver. Because of his integrity, he was transferred from Zhili to Changchun as the magistrate. 1April, 887, recommended by Li Hongzhang, it was transferred from Changchun to Heilongjiang to build Mohe Gold Mine. After he took dozens of people to Mohe, he got the first-hand information of mine construction, and formulated the regulations of Heilongjiang Gold Factory. He actively traveled to Tianjin, Shanghai, Yantai and other places to raise funds, recruit miners, buy machines, and transport food and ammunition. In the planning of running a mine, it can be said that it is extremely thoughtful and meticulous. Li Jinyong led his colleagues and nearly a thousand miners to Mohe. First, the desert mining camp was established to train the army, and then the gold mine was founded and started to work at the mountain festival.

Li Jinyong was arrogant, resourceful and outspoken towards Russian bandits, which made Russia afraid of power and made Mohe Gold Mine the most successful mining industry in modern times and famous all over the country.

Li Jinyong, who worked hard for foreign affairs in the mining industry, died in Mohe on August 0890 1890 at the age of 56.

"It is a great achievement in ancient and modern times to take advantage of security and frontier, and it is a tribute to Li Jinyong's merits of being honest and upright, prospering the frontier through industry, driving patriotism and stabilizing the territory."

Because Li Jinyong is known as the "Golden Sage", gold prospectors in the past had to come here to worship before gold panning, and it has become a tourist attraction.
