Can I apply for quality engineer directly?

Of course. Qualification of quality engineer: full-time bachelor degree or above, major in chemical engineering/materials is preferred. Familiar with IATF 16949 quality management system, skilled in using all kinds of office software (Word, Excel, PPT skills are necessary), more than five years working experience, more than one year working experience in lithium battery industry. If you have the above conditions, you can directly apply for the quality engineer. If not, you'd better start with the assistant quality engineer.
