First, the choice of school site is demanding. On the basis of widely listening to opinions and suggestions from all walks of life, the Dongyuan County Party Committee and the county government, after repeated argumentation, finally chose Dongjiang on the south side of the East Ring Road in the county seat, which is located in the center of Dongjiang Education Park in Heyuan. Excellent geographical location, convenient transportation and beautiful environment are ideal places for teaching and educating people. After completion, it will not only become an important section of the urban area, but also play an important role in promoting the implementation of the strategy of "revitalizing the city and expanding the city" and accelerating the pace of county construction.

Second, the planning and design standards are high. Three architectural design institutes were invited to design three conceptual planning and design schemes of Dongjiang Middle School, and an expert group composed of Guangdong Urban and Rural Planning and Design Institute and other units reviewed the three design schemes. The planning scheme selected based on the principle of "survival of the fittest" was designed by Guangdong Higher Education Architecture Planning and Design Institute, a national first-class design institute. The design scheme absorbed the advantages of the three schemes, with "advanced design concept and reasonable functional layout".

Third, the allocation of teaching facilities is high. The school is designed and built according to the high starting point of provincial ordinary high school standards. There is one grade in the teaching building, with 40 classes in each grade group and 50 students in each class. The classroom adopts an 85-inch electronic whiteboard multimedia teaching platform; Each student dormitory has 8 people, equipped with toilet, shower room and laundry table. Hot water is provided by solar energy and hot water pump. There are functional rooms such as reading room, multifunctional academic lecture hall and piano room in the comprehensive building. The student canteen can hold 6000 people at a time. The teaching area, sports area, living area and administrative area are independent, with reasonable layout and first-class facilities and campus environment.

Fourth, the quality of teachers is high. Publicize the high salary (annual salary is 6.5438+0.8 million yuan) nationwide, and hire experienced and outstanding people as school principals; Recruit 60 fresh normal graduates from South China Normal University as full-time teachers, and recruit 8 teachers in key disciplines and 7 graduate students nationwide. Teachers' initial education is above undergraduate, ahead of other middle schools in the city, forming a teaching team of "excellent teachers+excellent master graduates+excellent undergraduate graduates", which is unprecedentedly strong; Moreover, the teachers are reasonably matched and scientifically structured.
