Which district of Shanghai does Nanhui District belong to?

Nanhui District of Shanghai was abolished and the original Nanhui District was included in Pudong New Area.

According to the Decision on Several Issues Concerning the Revocation of Nanhui District and the Incorporation of its Administrative Division into Pudong New Area, with the approval of the State Council, Nanhui District of Shanghai was revoked and its administrative division was incorporated into Pudong New Area of Shanghai.

Pudong New Area is a municipal district in Shanghai, so it is named because it is located to the east of Huangpu River. Pudong borders Fengxian District and Minhang District in the south, Xuhui District, Huangpu District, Hongkou District, Yangpu District and Baoshan District across the Huangpu River in the west, and Chongming District across the Yangtze River in the north. Pudong New Area has high temperature, more precipitation and less sunshine hours. Disaster weather is frequent, and there are many short-term strong convective weather.
