Decorating stairs with wooden boards is a common way. Here are the specific steps.

Embedded compression bar fastener

There are two fasteners in the inner corner of each step, which are buried symmetrically with the center line of the stair width. The distance between the fastener hole wall and the stair tread and kick surface is equal to or slightly less than the carpet thickness.

Cut the length of the carpet.

Cut the carpet length according to the sum of the actual widths of the tread and the kick surface in each step. If you consider replacing worn parts, you can reserve a certain length.

Laying carpet

Lay the carpet step by step from top to bottom. The end of the top carpet is nailed to the platform with wooden strips: each floor is stepped on the position of the fastener, and a small hole is made in the carpet so that the fastener of the compression bar can protrude from it, then the metal compression bar is inserted into the round hole of the fastener, and the adjusting screw is tightened.

Fixed anti-skid strip

For stairs with metal anti-skid strips, after the carpet is fixed, use expansion screws (or plastic expansion pipes) to fix the metal anti-skid strips on the edge of the external corner of the tread plate, with the nail distance of 15~30CM.
