On January 1, 1993, "Huainan Daily" launched an expanded version of its trial issue. In 1995, "Huainan Daily·Sunday" was renamed "Huainan Daily·Leisure Weekly", and in the same year "Huainan Daily·Life Magazine" was founded. In March 2006, the Huainan News Network, sponsored by Huainan Daily, began to be established and put into trial operation. In June 2007, it was officially approved as a Huainan news information portal by the Anhui Provincial Internet Publicity and Management Office.
