What kinds and specifications of quartz sand are there?

Ordinary quartz sand

Ordinary quartz sand, that is, SiO _ 2 ≥ 90-99%, Fe2O3 ≤ 0.06-0.02%, fire resistance limit 1750℃, appearance: some large particles have yellow capsules on their surfaces. Ordinary quartz sand is generally a kind of water treatment filter material made of natural timely ore through crushing, washing, drying and secondary screening.

The filter material has the characteristics of no impurities, no edges and corners, high density, high mechanical strength and long linear life of sewage capacity, and is an ideal material for chemical water treatment. The granularity range is 5-220 meshes, and it can be produced according to user's requirements. Main uses: metallurgy, ink silicon carbide, glass and glass products, enamel, cast steel, water filtration, sodium silicate, chemical industry, spraying noise and other industries.

refined quartz sand

Also known as acid-washed quartz sand, with SiO2 ≥ 99-99.5% and Fe2O3≤0.005%, it is made of high-quality natural quartz sand and mortar.

High purity quartz sand

SiO _ 2 ≥ 99.5—99.9%, Fe2O3≤0.00 1%, made of high-quality natural quartz stone and mortar. (Millimeter is one millimeter)

Fused quartz sand

Chemical composition: 299.9-99.95% of silica, 5-25 ppm of ferric oxide at most, 5438+0-2 ppm of lithium oxide at most, and 30PPM of aluminum oxide at most.

K2O is 20-25PPM at most, and Na2O 10-20 PPM(PPM is one millionth).

The appearance is colorless and transparent block, granular or white powder.

Main producing areas

Across the country, timely coal mines are relatively extensive. Quartz sand is made of natural seasonal ore. Quartz stone mined from mines is processed, and then crushed, screened and washed. The appearance is polygonal, spherical and pure white, and it has the characteristics of high mechanical strength, strong pollution interception ability and good acid resistance. Generally, products with fineness less than 120 mesh are called quartz sand.

Products exceeding 120 mesh are called quartz powder. High-quality mineral sources are mainly distributed in Jining, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Fengyang, Anhui Province, Huanggang, Hubei Province and Lingshou County, Hebei Province, with large output and high quality, and a small amount in Guangdong and Jiangxi.
