What do members of the Municipal Supervisory Committee do?

The responsibilities of the members of the Supervisory Committee are: to carry out anti-corruption education for public officials, to supervise and inspect their performance of duties according to law, impartial use of power, honest political practice and ethical conduct; to investigate suspected corruption, bribery and abuse of power. Investigate official violations and official crimes such as dereliction of duty, power rent-seeking, transfer of interests, and malpractice for personal gains; make government sanctions decisions on public officials who have violated the law in accordance with the law; and make supervision recommendations to the units where the supervision targets are located. The recruitment requirements for members of the Supervisory Committee are: 1. College degree or above, and over 18 years old; 2. Comply with national laws and regulations, have good ideological and moral character; 3. Be in good health and have no criminal record.
