Also known as the third reform-through-labour detachment of Yunnan Province. Yunnan First Women's Prison is located in the north extension line of Yongle Street, Jinning District, Kunming. Founded in March of 1953, it was originally named as the First Farm of Yuxi Special Service Public Security Bureau, and later called the Third Labor Reform Detachment of Yunnan Province. 1September, 1994, changed its name to Yunnan First Women's Prison.
