The services on the third floor of Lu'an Library are positioned as the social science area. The total area of ??this floor is nearly 3,000 square meters, the total area of ??the reading room is 2,140 square meters, and the collection of books and documents reaches 144,684 volumes and 6,633 audio-visual documents. The main collections in this area include books on Marxism-Leninism-Mao Zedong Thought, philosophy and religion, general introduction to social sciences, politics, military, culture, education, sports, etc.

The area is divided into Social Science District 1, Social Science District 2, and Social Science District 3. Among them, the reading area of ??Social Science One is about 570 square meters, with a collection of 63,218 books; the reading area of ??Social Science Two is about 570 square meters, with a collection of 37,794 books; the reading area of ??Social Science Three is about 520 square meters, with a collection of 25,202 books.

Since the Lu'an City Library opened in some areas on June 30, as of July 30, it has issued a total of 16,000 reader cards and borrowed more than 110,000 books (times).
