Nanjing Forest Police College is the only college directly under the Ministry of Public Security in the south of the Yangtze River. It is near the river and the sea, with convenient transportation and rich scientific and educational resources, and has a unique position and mission in the layout of public security higher education in China.

The independent running of the college began in Nanjing Forestry School, Jiangsu Province, and was established in 1953. After several mergers and reorganizations, the school was renamed. 1September 1994 was transformed into Nanjing People's Police School of the Ministry of Forestry; In March 2000, it was upgraded to Nanjing Forest Police College; On March 20 10, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college. The college covers a total area of113 mu, with a total construction area of more than 200,000 square meters. There are two campuses, Xianlin and Huayuan Road.
