Will the emergence of "T3 Travel" shake Didi's position?

"T3 Travel" is a brand-new travel platform, and its main project is "network car service", which is headquartered in Nanjing. Different from the current normalized "Didi", T3 travel has a profound industry background. The "3" in T3 mainly refers to FAW, Dongfeng Motor and Changan Automobile, accounting for 16.39% respectively. Friends who are familiar with the car circle should know that the above three car companies are all state-owned, so it is not surprising that some people call T3 the "national team" of the car network.

In addition to the three major state-owned car companies, "T3 Travel" also has well-known shareholders such as Suning, Ali and Tencent. Among them, Suning holds 17.42%, which is the largest shareholder of T3 Travel, which is also a major reason why T3 Travel is headquartered in Nanjing. Therefore, from the perspective of shareholder composition, "T3 Travel" not only has a strong state-owned enterprise background, but also has the support of traditional and Internet industry giants.

In fact, Suning, the largest shareholder of "T3 Travel", has already made some arrangements in the automobile industry, such as the 20 17 Suning.cn Automobile Supermarket, and Suning is also the investor behind the new automobile manufacturing force Baiteng. Ali and Tencent are widely deployed in the automotive field, such as in-vehicle interconnection system, driverless, shared travel and so on. The joining of Ali and Tencent has also provided strong technical support for the APP construction and intelligent network connection of "T3 Travel".

"T3 Travel" adopts self-operated mode. At present, the unified model chooses Changan Yidong New Energy EV460. It is reported that FAW, Dongfeng Motor and Changan Automobile each provided a new energy vehicle to choose from, and the final selected model was Changan Yidong EV460. Parker guessed that Changan Yidong started early in new energy, with a large market share and high cost performance. Not surprisingly, in the future, new energy vehicles of FAW and Dongfeng Motor should be added to the optional models of "T3 Travel". After all, the "network car" business is very helpful for car companies to improve their sales.

"T3 Travel" has higher requirements for drivers. Take Nanjing, which is currently in its early operation, as an example, the requirements of "T3 Travel" for drivers are: having an online license plate, no criminal record, aged 23-55, driver's license not counted in 12 points for three consecutive scoring cycles, and no missing tattoos on the body. The compliance of people and vehicles ensures higher travel safety to a certain extent, and there is no need to worry about being investigated by the transportation management department. The safety of passengers and drivers has been improved.

The "T3 Travel" APP has been launched and is currently operating in Nanjing. It is expected to cover six cities including Nanjing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Chongqing and Tianjin by the end of the year. As for why these six cities are the first batch, Parker thinks there should be some geographical factors, such as Nanjing is the base camp of Suning, Wuhan is the base camp of Dongfeng Motor, and Chongqing is the base camp of Changan Automobile. Therefore, it should be less difficult to operate "T3 Travel" in these cities. In addition, there are no Beijing and Shanghai in the first batch of cities. I wonder if it has anything to do with the "first ride" in Beijing and "enjoying the road" in Shanghai.

In my opinion, the biggest advantage of "T3 Travel" compared with "Didi" lies in the background of "national team" and self-operated mode. Drivers and "T3 Travel" belong to the employment relationship, and both people and cars require certificates, which may reduce the obstacles for "T3 Travel" to operate in various cities.

Take Shanghai as an example. At present, most online car rentals on the market are illegal. According to statistics, as of the end of last year, there were 544,000 online car rental vehicles registered in Shanghai, of which only 1.2 1.00 vehicles obtained the online car rental operation license, which means that 53 1.90 vehicles were illegally operated. As for drivers, as of the end of last year, there were 52 1 10,000 registered drivers in Shanghai, but as of April this year, a total of 32,600 people in Shanghai had obtained the qualification certificate for online car service. In other words, the proportion of online cars with complete passenger and car certificates in Shanghai is very low. As long as it is seized by the transportation management department, it will face a fine of tens of thousands of yuan.

And these may be easier to solve in T3 Travel, after all, people and cars in T3 Travel are compliant. Of course, it is still unknown whether cities will allow the operation of "T3 Travel" for various interests. After all, the beneficiary of "T3 Travel" may still be a major shareholder. Take Shanghai as an example, SAIC is not among the shareholders of T3 Travel, and the extent to which Shanghai can support it is still unknown.

Many media have positioned "T3 Travel" as a direct competitor of Didi, but from the perspective of the "T3 Travel" model, the first companies to be affected should be companies such as Shouqi Car and Caocao Travel. After all, they still used the self-operated mode at the beginning, which had higher requirements for vehicles and drivers, and the drivers were more like employees of the network car company. Didi is a pure network car platform, and the randomness of drivers and vehicles is high. But there is no doubt that "T3 Travel" will eventually compete directly with Didi.

Transport capacity is an urgent problem to be solved in T3 travel at present. Ironically, after downloading T3 travel for the first time, the slogan "Morning and evening rush hour, answer in minutes" was displayed on the front page of the screen. However, from the actual situation, it is not easy for Nanjing to call the "T3 Travel" network in time during the morning and evening rush hours, mainly because there are too few vehicles.
