According to the laws of China, foreigners must apply for a work visa to work in China. The process for foreigners to apply for a work visa is quite complicated. To sum up, the whole process mainly includes the following six steps: foreigner employment permit certificate, foreigner work visa invitation letter, temporary work visa, entry visa, foreigner employment permit and foreigner residence permit. Step 1: Employment Permit for Foreigners The employer shall apply for an employment permit for foreigners before they enter the country, and obtain the Employment Permit Certificate for Foreigners in People's Republic of China (PRC) after approval. The official requirement for materials needed by foreigners is that foreigners must be between 24 and 60 years old 1. Copy of passport 2. Three two-inch photos on white or blue background. Copy of physical examination certificate of overseas personnel. Chinese resume. 6 originals and photocopies of bachelor's degree certificate and professional skill qualification certificate. Chinese translation of education (official seal of translation company) 7. Original proof of overseas work experience for more than two years after graduation (if you have worked in China, you can provide it for two years in China) 8. Company materials required for Chinese translation of work experience (official seal of translation company) 1. Original and photocopy of business license (official seal) 2. Original and photocopy of approval certificate (official seal) (provided by wholly foreign-owned enterprises or Sino-foreign joint ventures) 3. Copy of the Articles of Association. Copy of joint venture contract (provided by joint venture and cooperative enterprise) 5. Original and photocopy of enterprise social insurance registration certificate (stamped with official seal) (provided by domestic-funded enterprises) 6. A written application report for hiring foreigners (detailing the reasons for employment, position and official seal) 7. Enterprise's intention to hire foreigners (positions above vice president level need to be resolved by the board of directors and stamped with the official seal) 8. An application form for employment of foreigners (with the official seal of the company affixed to the applicant), and a two-step work visa for foreigners is attached to the two-inch recruitment form. Materials required by foreigners 1. Copy of passport (with official seal) 2. Application form for foreign visitors (with official seal) 3. Company materials required for the original and photocopy of employment certificate 1. Original and photocopy of business license (with official seal) 2. Original and photocopy of the approval certificate (stamped with official seal) (provided by the wholly foreign-owned enterprise or foreign joint venture) Step 3, go to the embassy of China or foreigners to apply for a work visa with the original employment certificate and the original invitation letter to the embassy of China abroad or the mainland commission in Hong Kong. Required materials: original foreigner employment certificate, original foreigner work visa invitation letter and materials required by local embassy Step 4: Entry Step 5: Materials required for handling foreigner employment certificate: 1 Return the original foreigner's employment certificate; 2. Fill in the Registration Form for Employment of Foreigners in triplicate (the upper left corner of the form needs to be stamped with the official seal of the unit and a recent bareheaded photo of one inch); 3. Passport, work visa and photocopy of the employed foreigner (stamped with the official seal of the company) (if it is in a foreign language, it must be translated into Chinese and stamped with the official seal of the company); 4. The health certificate of the foreigner to be employed (the health inspection certificate issued by the entry-exit inspection and quarantine department after inspection). Provide a copy of the official seal of the unit); 5. A copy of the labor contract signed by the employer and the employed foreigner (if it is in a foreign language, it must be translated into Chinese and stamped with the official seal of the employer, and it is not required if the employer is a resident representative office of a foreign-funded enterprise); 6. Recent two-inch bareheaded photos of employed foreigners (for application); 7. Foreigners who are employed when applying for an employment permit shall be present to sign the employment permit. Step 6: Go through the residence formalities. With the Alien Employment Certificate, you can go through the residence formalities at the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Municipal Public Security Bureau within 30 days of entry and receive the Alien Residence Permit.
