Department of Clinical Medicine, Huaihua Medical College

The clinical medicine major of Huaihua Medical College started to recruit clinical medical junior college classes in 58 years (formerly known as Huaihua Health School), which has a history of 5 years, with the training goal of cultivating urban and rural primary doctors, especially medical talents in rural primary health centers. After the school was upgraded in 2, it officially began to set up clinical medicine (junior college), with 13 teaching and research sections including diagnostics, internal medicine, surgical foundation, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, epidemiology, stomatology, traditional Chinese medicine, medical imaging, acupuncture and massage, and medical cosmetology. At present, there are six majors, including clinical medicine, maternal and child health, stomatology, acupuncture and massage, medical imaging technology and medical beauty technology, which mainly undertake the professional course teaching and related course teaching of the above majors.

There are 112 full-time teachers in the Department of Clinical Medicine, including 15 professors and chief physicians, 35 associate professors and deputy chief physicians, enjoying one special allowance from the State Council, one outstanding young and middle-aged expert in the province, one young backbone in the province, one model worker in the province, two top-notch talents in science and technology in the city, two "Top Ten Young People" in the city, two outstanding teachers at the school level, two doctors and 12 masters among young and middle-aged teachers.

Clinical medicine has a good practice base inside and outside the school. There are computer center, body shape center, human function center, medical laboratory center and medical skills training center in the school. There are provincial-level examination bases for practicing doctors, 3 affiliated hospitals, 13 clinical teaching hospitals, 46 practice hospitals and 6 community health service centers (stations) in the off-campus practice base.

the department of clinical medicine has made great achievements in teaching and scientific research, successfully declared 1 provincial-level topics, 12 municipal-level research topics and 3 school-level topics, and compiled more than 21 textbooks and monographs, including 9 chief editors, 5 deputy editors and 7 participating editors, and won 2 provincial and municipal scientific research achievement awards, including 4 second prizes, 1 third prizes and 6 excellent prizes.
