My boss helped me to explain what film is, what screen printing is and what transfer printing is.

A movie is a movie, an old translation of a movie. Now it generally refers to film, and it can also refer to negative film in printing and plate making.

Movies are all black. Generally, there is an English symbol on the corner of the film, which is the film number, indicating which film C, M, Y and K are, and which cmyk (or spot color number) is, indicating what color this film outputs. If not, you can look at the angle of the net to tell what color it is. The stepped color bar next to it is used to check the dot density.

The color bar depends not only on whether the dot density is normal, but also on CMYK. The lower left corner of the color bar is C, the upper left corner is M, the upper right corner is Y, and the lower right corner is K. According to the color bar printing house, you can know CMYK. That is to say, in order to check the development density of the film conveniently, the corners of the film are colored. As for how many colors to print, it depends on the number of screen lines in each film.

The dots on the film tell you that "this degree has a certain color". For example, there is only one black film in the general text version. If you print it in red ink, it will be a scarlet letter. A piece of film only represents one color. There must be at least four films for printing color, representing four colors: C, M, Y and K! It can also be four kinds of spot colors, and the spot color film is output as K version in a separate file.

The color code next to it cannot represent the specific value of CMYK, but is only used for comparison and checking whether the film meets the requirements. Some people are used to drawing corner lines (tangent lines and registration lines), and then marking the name of each edition with solid colors. For example, mark C, M, Y, K and special silver, and then fill the spot colors on the blue, red, yellow, black and spot color boards respectively, so that all films are marked, which is particularly intuitive. The color scale size is 10*5mm, and the English letters of paper color CMYK are printed, and the color blocks correspond to the color names one by one. The printer can only look at a corner of the film. Generally speaking, the screen angle of the film is fixed, just like the screen angle of the yellow version is 90 degrees. There are exceptions, if the yellow expression of the image is concentrated in the range of 90 degrees, then yellow can not be used at 90 degrees. Otherwise, the trace of hanging the net will be too obvious!

According to the usual feeling, when a color is produced, it should be marked with color bars, and it is very clear to check the drying situation on each density ladder in turn during the process of color leaving the forest, usually four color bars, and they are arranged neatly. Most colors are made up of these four colors, so each film is black, but the colors they represent are different C, M, Y and K. Just look at the proportion and then print four-color ink.
